Ingredients:
- John recommends Rocky’s Matcha Ceremonial Blend (but any matcha you prefer will do.)
- UNUM Banana
- Almond milk, or milk or your choice (oat milk is NOT glyphosate juice btw).
- Ice
- Milk frother
- Chasen (a bowl to whisk in)
- A bamboo whisk
- OPTIONAL: heavy cream for cream top (but you can use milk as well)
Process:
- Heat water to 175 degrees fahrenheit
- Allow whisk to bloom by standing the whisk up in a small cup and pouring hot water over the
bristles. - In a small cup, dump UNUM and hot water together while stirring to dissolve into a syrup.
- Then, scoop 5 grams of matcha powder into the chasen.
- Pour a small amount of water over powder and begin gently whisking in small circular motions.
- Then, add more water to fill the chasen about half way and whisk in a “W” formation.
- Once finished whisking, fill your cup with ice and pour about 6 oz of milk into glass.
- Then, add a small amount of heavy cream to the banana UNUM Syrup and use the milk frother to whip until somewhat stiff.
- Pour the match over the milk, and the cream top over the matcha, and garnish with cinnamon.
- Enjoy!

P.S. I don't measure, it becomes second nature after a while :)
